Nashville New Restaurants Guide
As restaurant capacity restrictions continue to lift and things begin to resemble pre-pandemic life, many Nashville restaurants and visitors will look forward to visiting favorite restaurants again, but there are many newcomers to the scene worth considering, too. Here’s a round-up of new Nashville restaurants to add to your list when you’re comfortable dining in-person again:
Anzie Blue
Neighborhood: Hillsboro Village
Your go-to for coffee, cocktails, and CBD, Anzie Blue is a hip location for any time of day. Featuring jazz brunch on the weekend, local art installations, CBD products, and a great atmosphere for meeting friends or working on your laptop, Anzie Blue is a welcome addition to Belcourt Avenue in Hillsboro Village.
Culture and Co.
Neighborhood: Sylvan Park
If you haven’t visited Sylvan Park’s L and L Marketplace, it’s definitely worth a visit. With many local shops and an incredible food court, it’s at the top of our new-places-to-try list this summer. The best part? There’s something for everyone!
Culture and Co. is a conveyor-belt style charcuterie experience that you may just have to see to believe. Afterwards, we’re visiting Gracie’s Milkshake Bar for some incredible dessert creations. Keep your eyes open for more L and L Marketplace openings this year!
Locust
Neighborhood: 12 South
If you’re looking for a unique experience, Locust—a dumpling and shaved ice shop—recently opened in the 12 South neighborhood. Known for their beautiful and minimalistic ambiance and top-notch delicacies, this is a destination that’s sure to continue to gain popularity among tourists and natives alike.
Shep’s Delicatessen
Neighborhood: East Nashville
In a prime East Nashville location on Main Street, this classic Jewish delicatessen is everything breakfast and lunch dreams are made of. From fresh bagels and breads to homemade pastrami and corned beef, it’s the perfect place to spend a morning surrounded by good company or reading a favorite book. Shep’s is already becoming a local favorite in the East Nashville neighborhood, and we’re excited to bring our families here!
The Optimist
Neighborhood: Germantown
A self-proclaimed fish camp and oysters eatery, The Optimist is a destination seafood restaurant in the Germantown neighborhood. Featuring an outdoor bar called Jacqueline, The Optimist is the perfect place to spend a date night or showing out-of-town guests everything Nashville has to offer. With a gorgeous interior and mouth-watering menu, this is definitely one of our new go-tos.
Fifth + Broadway
Neighborhood: Downtown
While the Fifth + Broadway development has been anticipated for some time, many Nashvillians are just now getting to enjoy it as a result of decreased pandemic capacity regulations. With over 30 restaurants and shops to enjoy, Fifth + Broadway also features residential and office space, truly making it a one-stop destination. Here’s where we’re headed first:
If you’re anything like us, you know that Nashville could never have enough Mexican restaurants. A lively and bright new restaurant on Broadway, Blanco Cocina + Cantina has everything you could want, from tacos to seafood to grilled steak, as well as fresh, homemade margaritas. With a gorgeous interior and welcoming staff, it’s already becoming a downtown favorite.
Already a local Nashville staple, we’re excited to have another location on this side of town. Slim & Husky’s is some of the best pizza around, and we’ll definitely be by to try the Cee No Green, California Love, and The Smokin’ Herb.
